Felix Declares for Senate

My attention has been drawn to fraudulent messages being circulated to unsuspecting public in my name soliciting for financial assistance. Contrary to the claims of these fraudsters, I am neither in Italy nor in tour of European nations. I am not planning for studies in Rome nor have any plan of travelling outside Ebonyi State not to talk of outside the country in near future. As I put down these words I am preparing for lunch in my house at Abakaliki. I am not even stranded in Abakaliki. I don’t want anybody to fall victim again. Many have been hoodwinked and I wish nobody else fall to their antics.

I am using this medium put this disclaimer and wish my friends will take note. Be careful to crosscheck any e-mail coming to your inbox using an e-mail address very near to mine. My e-mail address remains kempis84@yahoo.com. Anything short of this alpha-numerical combination is not my e-mail. Note the letters and the numbers carefully.

Again, any customized sms soliciting for money in my name is not originating from me. If at any time I need your help, I will call you directly. These fraudsters have explored every available means to dupe unsuspecting friends. I really sympathize with those who fell to their antics.

Meanwhile, I have been thinking of where this country is heading to. Is it not ironical that people would resort to friends to get what they know I do not have? I have been thinking of what is pushing these miscreants into believing that I have grown so big to make a tour of Europe when I have not crossed Enugu in the last one year. On April 8, 2013, robbers invaded my house, catered away my valuables and tied me hands and feet for two hours. That shock has fully left. Are they trying to rob me of friends too by making my friends to pay through their noses just to save me alleged difficult situation? I have staked my entire life advocating for the poor masses, fighting for the jobless youth. I have been called names; I have lost sympathy of some leaders who hate truth. I have been threatened. Perhaps, I will yield to the advice of friends; I consider hanging up my pen soon and sinking into oblivion lest I die before my time.

By the way, it is not easy to be a politician or declare interest to contest election in Nigeria. Last week, against all odds, I declared interest to run for senate in facebook. Never mind I didn’t mention the type of senate but average Nigerian is politically minded.

Interesting Comments! The secular and the God-fearing. The idealistic and the pragmatic. The sceptic, the cynic, the optimist and the fearful. I got more confused that I was. It is difficult to be a politician. Excerpts:

Benjamin ‘Saha’ Obaji: Go please

Peace Adaobi: Lol, please Go

Jerry Oranuka: If you are called, who are we not to support you

Nkwuda Francis Monday: well, I believe u will make a good lead, but ur prayers can as well do more than being there.

IgedenwaAfrika Herbert: Hehehehe. Adasu precedence

Ujebe Mathias: Fr kempis Nwokeoma, go ahead we are behind u, we want people who can make a difference and history in de priesthood in our time.

Omah Ugo: It is good Fr. But it is late

Anthony Alieze: Can someone who cannot vote stand to be voted for? How I wish u can go.

Okobi Paul Olisaemeka: Laugh don make me get bow legs. I beg you to go there my bros and make a difference.

Jude Uchechukwu Ukwa: If only they will not stain you…. I will say yes.

Nnanna Hills: Nawa o Fr, the work no go 2much 4 u?

Okoro Jude: I would say GO. After all, the whole concept of priesthood, and indeed Christianity is leading by example. And being who you are, you are the type we need. However, let up quickly picture the whole scenario: You will declare your interest and thousands of people who could vouch for your integrity would welcome it with joy. You don’t need much campaigning; your name and status would take care of that. The election would come and, quite unopposed, you would be elected. A saviour has come at last to save his people. In the house, the drama would begin to unfold. Most probably, your counterparts, having been sensitized on hearing about your election, would likely hold series of undercover meetings on how to handle this “intruder who does not know his place”. When you assume office, they would definitely try to incorporate you into the typical Nigeria political system. Quite naturally, you will kick against that. In that instant, the game plan would change. Our political desperadoes would not allow the fish they painstakingly caught to be thrown back into the sea. In the game of politics, our countrymen are so creative. He such creativity is employee elsewhere our country should be many miles ahead of where we are today. With some currencies, they would invent so many lies and conjure it in such a way that every little piece would fit in. They would buy up persons at every level, and before you know it, you will be alone. Even your people will be against you. Why? Because they have what it takes, they know the language most of the masses understand: the language of money. He our people can learn to sacrifice their immediate pleasure for the greater good, maybe things would have been better over here. But that is quite hard to come by. Here is the whole point: you are the candidate we need, but it is not your play, even if the church allows it. You are more valuable where you are. With your prayers and work, our nation will one day begin to thread the right part.

Anthony Ezenwankwo: Fada I will be ur personal assistant! I support you!

Ogbaga Jeremiah: Semantically, that word RUN is ambiguous. Clarify us whether you are running for yourself or 4 another person

Maazi Nnaemeka Callistus Ezaka: “I dey laugh.”

Theophilus Idenyi: Pls let’s start with Abakaliki Catholic Church, senate is senate every where.

Austin Edeze: Make sure you don’t step on my toes. I am interested too. Please step down for me. I can’t make it if I challenge you.

Ezechukwu Hycenth Chimezie Ohio: Jude Okoro has said it all. So Fada, parkia 4 my Oga Edeze..i hv started his campaign even b4 he declared interest…lol

Iboko Anselm: Habemus Senator.

Oby Perpetua Iyere-Usiahon: Oga Edeze ki na. Strong man.

Felix Uche Akam @Chief, let’s strike a deal. See it this way, I go for 4yrs, if people don’t want me again, I come down for u. If they still want me, who am I? I will…

Ezechukwu Hycenth Chimezie Ohio : Fada,u ar beginning 2 talk like one of them(politicians) lol.

Chima Samuel Okoro: Hahahaha!Which senatoral seat is vacant and for what reason? Hope it’s a kinda joke.lol!

Michael Okonkwo: hahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, you go kill person, hahahahahaahhaaaaaaaaaaa

Postscript: If people say that everything is possible in Nigeria why are some scared of my chances of making it? Bottom of Form

If you were in my shoes, with these divergent views, what will you do? Meanwhile don’t forget that I’m not in Rome. Lol!
